Learn to drive with our driving school serving the greater Cape Cod area.

We offer the 30-hour driver education class in-person and virtually with a live instructor. On weekdays, receive door-to-door service for driving lessons from the Bridges to the Orleans Rotary.

Students must be 15 years and 9 months old to start the driver education program. The classroom session comes first. After they turn 16, they can get their permit from the RMV after passing the permit exam. Once they have their permit, they can begin driving. Teens must complete 18 hours in the car (12 driving, 6 observation) with a driving school and 40 hours of driving with their family. Only after they have held their permit for six months and finished driver's education may they take a road test to earn their driver's license.

  • Sponsorship for Driver Ed Student

Grand Prix Driving School must have 20 applicants before we can request a road test date. Once we have 20 eligible students, we submit the applicant list on a Monday. Officials will book tests according to the availability of a road test examiner. The test will likely be on the weekend.

We can not add you to our list if you have already scheduled a road test. You must cancel your scheduled test if you want to go with Grand Prix.

We collect applicant names over two to three weeks. The RMV then requires one week to approve the request and finalize the list. You will most likely receive a one-week notice of your test date, which will likely take place the weekend after you submit it. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO CANCEL.

Grand Prix's $165 sponsorship fee is nonrefundable and nontransferable. If you cannot make a given date, regardless of the reason, there will be no refunds. If there is a scheduling conflict, please contact our office about a general timeline BEFORE purchasing.
